Just popped in my details, chose how I wanted to get my clearance—decided to have it delivered because, let’s face it, who wants to step out when you don’t have to? Paying was a breeze, too. It’s just like buying anything else online, and before I knew it, I was all set.

They even had a way to track the delivery, so I wasn’t left in the dark wondering when it would show up. It’s kinda cool how straightforward everything was, no fancy terms or complicated steps. Just fill in, pay up, and wait for the delivery. Makes you appreciate how some things have just gotten simpler.

NBI Clearance Online Renewal Step-by-Step Guide

So, if you’re looking to get your NBI Clearance updated, just grab your phone or hop on your computer and head to their official site at https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/.

Once you’re there, a pop-up will show up talking about privacy stuff. It’s pretty standard, so if you’re not up for a read, just hit “I AGREE” to move on.

Next, you’ll see a notice pop up. It’s a good idea to check it out; it’s got some important info. If you’re not sure what to look out for, there’s a screenshot below that should help.

When you’re done with that, just close the pop-up. Now, you’re looking for an orange button that says “NBI Clearance Online Renewal”. There’s a screenshot below to make spotting it easier. In that section, you’ll see a “Click Here” button.

Give that button a click to start off your NBI Clearance renewal. A window will pop up asking for some details: your old NBI ID number, mobile number (they’ll send updates via SMS), your full name, and your birth date.

Okay, we’re moving on to filling out that form. First up, grab your old NBI Clearance because you’ll need the Old NBI No. from there. Enter that NBI ID number into the form, paying attention to the mix of letters, numbers, and dashes. Then, just fill in the rest – your mobile, full name, and birth date.

Press the “Verify” button once you’ve got everything in there.

If you see a warning notice at the bottom, don’t stress. There’s a link saying “Recover NBI ID” right above where you entered your old NBI number. Click on it; it’s there to help you get back your NBI ID using the details you provide.

After clicking “Recover NBI ID,” you’ll see a new window asking for your name and how you’d like to recover your ID. You’ve got two choices: email or mobile number. Pick the one that fits your situation best. If your mobile number hasn’t changed since you last registered, that might be the easiest way to go.

Now, fill in your first and last name, and decide whether you’re going to use your email or mobile for recovery. Once you’ve got that sorted, press “Recover” to get your NBI ID back.

You’ll know right away if it worked because you’ll see a success message. Plus, the NBI will send you an SMS with your NBI Clearance Number. There’s a screenshot below that shows what it looks like.

Back to our walkthrough. With your NBI Clearance Number in hand, you can fill in the form again and press “Verify.” This moves you on to the next part.

When it comes to verification, you’ll have a few options: your mother’s details, your email, or your mobile number. I’m sticking with my mobile number since it’s been the same one I’ve always used.

If everything goes smoothly, you’ll be greeted with a preview showing all the details about you – who you are, how to contact you, family background, and your educational background.

But here’s a word of caution: if you’re looking to modify any bit of your info, like changing up your address or updating your marital status, STOP! This tutorial is only for those looking to renew without any edits. Want to change some details? That’s a whole other guide for you.
At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a checkbox that basically says, “I confirm and certify that the details are correct.” Check it if you’ve double-checked your info, then press “Continue” to keep the ball rolling.

Now, you’re at a crossroads about how to get your NBI Clearance: either have it sent directly to you or go fetch it yourself.

Let’s dive into the pick-up option first. It involves a bit more elbow grease – verifying your NBI Clearance is ready for pick up or setting an NBI Clearance Appointment, then going to a specified NBI Clearance Branch location with your payment receipt. Between us, this method can be a bit of a hassle. It’s not my go-to because of the hassle.

On the flip side, getting it delivered is as easy as pie. Just provide your address, and then all that’s left is to wait. The downside? It’ll cost you a bit more because of the delivery charge. But for ease and convenience, we’re going with the delivery option. Click “Door-To-Door Delivery” and then “Proceed.”

Next up, a disclaimer pops onto the screen. In essence, it tells you that by opting for delivery, you’re letting the NBI hand off your clearance to a courier. Plus, you’re giving the NBI a pass on any data privacy issues that might arise. Tap “I Agree” if you’re cool with that.

Then, you’re hit with another round of terms and conditions. If you’re itching to get this over with, just hit “I Agree” once more.

Last but not least, smash that “Proceed” button for the umpteenth time, and voilà, you’re done. Your part’s over, and now it’s just waiting game for your clearance to show up.

You’ve made it to the final stretch – the delivery form appears, and you’re given a delivery number. Here, you need to fill in your details so the courier knows exactly where to bring your NBI Clearance. You’ll be asked for the receiver’s full name, mobile number, address, email, and delivery address.

Next up, you’re going to pinpoint your delivery address on the map provided. If you’ve used apps like Grab or Lalamove before, this part will feel familiar. It’s pretty straightforward.

Once you have completed that, there’s a box at the bottom of the page showing you a very long Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy and asking you to agree to it. Check that box, then click the “Proceed” button.

Now, it’s time to take care of the payment for both the renewal of your NBI Clearance and the delivery fee. On the left side of the screen, you’ll see your transaction details, including the base amount of P360. On the right, you’ll find various payment options. I’ve personally used VISA, Mastercard, and PayMaya for payments before.

For this guide, I’ll choose Maya (previously known as PayMaya) as the payment method. Selecting it will generate a QRPh QR code that you can scan or upload through the app.

You’ll receive both an SMS and an email notification about the transaction, but you can overlook these since they just repeat the payment instructions.

Using the Maya app, scan or upload the QR Code to cover your NBI Clearance fees. The total will slightly increase from P360 to P366 due to a service fee charged by Maya. Remember to screenshot your payment receipt for your records.

After your payment from Maya is successfully processed, you will get an email confirmation. Hold onto this email until your NBI Clearance arrives or delivered at your delivery address.

In the email, there’s a track and trace link that allows you to monitor the status of your NBI Clearance delivery. Clicking this link directs you to a page where you can see your order number, delivery number, the courier assigned, and the progress of your delivery. Initially, some details might be blank, such as the courier, since your NBI Clearance hasn’t been processed yet. However, as long as your NBI Clearance Reference number is linked in the email, you can rest assured it will be processed.

Important reminder, the delivery of your NBI Clearance can take anywhere from 5 to 15 working days, that is depending on your location.
