Steps in applying for a NBI Clearance Manual or Online Application.
There are two ways in applying for the NBI Clearance. The Manual Process and the NBI Clearance online Application. The difference of the two is the NBI Clearance Application Form. Let me walk you through to discuss the difference of the two. First off is the Manual Application of NBI Clearance.
NBI Clearance Manual Application Process
1. Ask for a blank NBI Clearance application form. The NBI Clearance personnel will ask you to present your two (2) valid IDs for verification before he/she hands out you a copy of NBI Clearance application form. Fill it out correctly. Double check it for errors and misspellings
2. Once finished, proceed to the Data Check Counter for checking of your NBI Clearance Application form.
3. Next, proceed to the Payment Counter and pay the corresponding amount according to the purpose of your NBI Clearance Application. Don’t forget to get your receipt. This will be serve as your “claim stub”.
4. After payment, proceed to Data Entry where they encode the Personal Information you’ve written in your NBI Clearance Application form.
5. After the Data Entry stage, a photo / image capturing will be conducted.
6. An automated finger printing will also be conducted. A biometrics system is currently implemented in every NBI Branches. Biometrics system is where they scan your finger prints and save it in their database.
7. After the steps 5, 6 & 7 is done, the NBI Clearance personnel will check if you have a name sake. If you have a name sake or derogatory record, you will be asked to return on a specified date to claim your NBI Clearance. If you don’t have a name sake or don’t have derogatory record, you will be then asked to proceed to the Releasing Area.
8. The releasing area is where they print your NBI Clearance. Just present your NBI Clearance Receipt to the NBI Clearance Personnel and they will print your NBI Clearance.
And you’re done!
NBI Clearance Online Application Process
1. Go to NBI Clearance Online Application Form and accurately supply all the required information. Make sure to write the NBI Clearance Registration Code (if you don’t have a printer available) or Print the NBI Clearance Application form after submitting your NBI Clearance Application Form.
Here’s a detailed guide on how to apply for NBI Clearance Online Application.
2. After completing step number 1, go to the NBI Branch that you prefer. Bring the Two (2) Valid ID requirement and the Printed NBI Clearance Online Application form or the NBI Clearance Registration code (for those applicants who doesn’t have printers). You should also pay for the corresponding amount of your NBI Clearance.
3. Proceed to the line where they process NBI Clearance Online Application. You may ask the NBI Clearance Personnel for help on this.
4. Next, proceed to the Payment Counter and pay the corresponding amount according to the purpose of your NBI Clearance Application. Don’t forget to get your receipt. This will be serve as your “claim stub”.
5. Next is to proceed in Finger Printing / Biometrics and Image Capturing Section.
6. If you have a name sake or derogatory record, you will be asked to return on a specified date to claim your NBI Clearance. If you don’t have a name sake or don’t have derogatory record, you will be then asked to proceed to the Releasing Area.
7. The releasing area is where they print your NBI Clearance. Just present your NBI Clearance Receipt to the NBI Clearance Personnel and they will print your NBI Online Clearance.

If you are a fresh graduate then they might consider it. I’ve read that Voter’s ID alone will be enough. But still bring your school ID with you, just in case.

Ask lang poh, bagong applicant lang poh ako for NBI clearance, pano poh ba ang tamang pag fill-up sa online nyo. Bali may na fill-up na poh ako pero hind ko alam kung san un susubmit. Pwede poh ba magpa guide?
May expiration date po ba ang NBI Clearance? Nagkaroon po kasi ako ng hit nung una po akong nag apply at pinapabalik ako nung February, kaso po hindi ko na po nakuha sa sobrang busy ko po sa ojt, 6 months narin po ang nakakaraan. Valid Ids Accepted In Applying In Nbi Clearance Online
When you arrive at the NBI Clearance Outlets, you are required to present both your Valid and acceptable identification documents (Valid IDs).
There are several Valid IDs in the Philippines available that are accepted in various transaction in validating a person’s identity such as his or her complete name, address, age and most of the time his or her physical appearance.
Having an updated or recent photo in your Valid ID is very important. In that situation, you can easily prove your identity in any situation. For example, If you’re opening a bank account, the bank representative will ask you to provide one. Or even if you are trying to board an airplane, the airport crew will ask you to present a valid ID. It’s the same when getting an NBI Clearance.
After you arrive at any NBI Clearance Branch, you are required to present any Valid Identification to show that the reason for which your application is in good faith. Without presenting any valid id, no matter how important your NBI Application is, they will not grant it to you due to lack of NBI Clearance requirements. The NBI Clearance personnel has the right to deny you the service you are requesting due to non compliance of Valid ID Requirement.
Please note that the list of valid IDs below are strictly as is and only the following valid identification documents are acceptable. If it’s not on this list, it’s not acceptable, and your NBI Clearance application will not be acknowledged.
The Valid ID you presented including any required signatures, must be original, not photocopied or reproduced and should not be expired so make sure to check it also. This is one of the common mistakes by most of the people but with this guide since you know the list of of accepted ID’s to use in NBI Clearance Online Application you just need for the easiest one to get.
